Our Air Scouts recently attended the Braintree District Renew of Promise, held at the scenic Cressing Temple Barns, for an enjoyable and memorable afternoon.

The event began with a range of activities, giving Squirrels, Beaver, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers the chance to get involved, socialise, and challenge themselves. One of the highlights of the afternoon was the climbing activity, which proved popular with many of the young people. The activity encouraged confidence, resilience, and teamwork, with participants supporting one another as they took on the challenge and celebrated their achievements together.

After the activities, everyone came together for the Renew of Promise ceremony. Adult leaders, Scouts, and Explorers all took part, renewing their commitment to the values of Scouting. The promise was led by our Scout Leader, making it especially meaningful for those from our group and adding a strong sense of pride and togetherness.

Bringing the district together in such a setting made the Renew of Promise a powerful moment of reflection and unity. It was a fitting way to close an afternoon that captured the spirit of Scouting—adventure, personal development, and shared values.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all the leaders who helped make the afternoon both active and memorable for our Air Scouts.
