Welcome to the 2nd Braintree & Bocking Air Scout Group – a vibrant and adventurous Scout group based in Braintree, Essex. As part of the wider Braintree District Scouts and affiliated with the UK Scout Association, we are proud to offer a unique programme that blends traditional Scouting values with a special focus on air-based activities.

Who We Are
We are a dedicated team of volunteers delivering weekly sessions for young people aged 6 to 14, across three sections:
- Beavers (6–8 years) – Fridays, 5:15–6:15 PM
- Cubs (8–10½ years) – Fridays, 6:30–7:30 PM
- Scouts (10½–14 years) – Fridays, 8:00–9:30 PM
All sessions are held at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Church Street, Braintree, CM7 5JY.
As an Air Scout Group, we incorporate aviation-themed activities into our programme, including model aircraft building, air navigation, and visits to airfields and aviation events. This gives our Scouts a unique opportunity to explore the world of flight while developing essential life skills.

These values underpin everything we do, helping our young people grow into confident, responsible citizens.
